Ashfield Municipal Council

Ashfield Council is located in Sydney's Inner West, just 6 kilometres from the CBD. Ashfield is a vibrant and diverse community and includes the bustling Ashfield CBD on Liverpool Road, with Sydney's best strip of authentic Chinese restaurants and grocery stores. Haberfield, the heritage and garden suburb offers an authentic Italian experience, while others enjoy the cafe society of the Summer Hill Village, or the history of Croydon.

Bankstown City Council

Bankstown City Council provides a range of services and facilities for residents, visitors and businesses.  Bankstown, which was established in 1979 by Governor Hunter in honour of Sir Joesph Banks, is today one of the largest Local Government Areas in New South Wales, with approximately 180,000 residents speaking more than 60 different languages.

Botany Bay City Council

On the northern shore of Botany Bay, the City of Botany Bay is located south of the Sydney CBD. Over half of the area is designated to industrial and commercial activity with the Kingsford Smith Airport and the Sydney Container Terminal located within its boundaries.

Burwood Council

Burwood Council is situated in the inner western suburbs of Sydney and is 7.26 square kilometres in size. Burwood is a vibrant and cosmopolitan area with mixed residential and commercial areas. Its population is approximately 31,000.

City of Canada Bay Council

This culturally diverse community is located in the inner west of Sydney and offers extensive parkland and recreational facilities around 35km of foreshore on the Parramatta River. Canada Bay Council visualises a city that is innovative, dynamic and sustainable through active partnership with the community and the environment.

City of Canterbury Council

Located 17 kms south-west of Sydney's CBD, Canterbury is a vibrant area that features historical sites and a flourishing business hub, as well as the peoples of 216 nationalities - all whilst still managing to maintain pockets of its natural bushland.

City of Sydney Council

Taking in the Sydney CBD and its surrounding suburbs, the City of Sydney is the commercial, financial and cultural centre of the greater Sydney area. The City is home to 140,000 residents, 350,000 workers and more than 450,000 daily visitors.

Hurstville City Council

Hurstville City is one of three councils in the St George area and located 15kms to the southwest of Sydney's CBD. With one of the fastest growing populations in New South Wales, Hurstville is rapidly becoming Sydney's major satellite city in the southwest.

Kogarah Municipal Council

Also located in the St George area, Kogarah Municipality is 15 kms south of Sydney's CBD. Bordering the Georges River to the south, Kogarah boasts an award-winning Council/private sector partnership for environmentally sustainable mixed residential/commercial development.

Leichhardt Municipal Council

Sharing a border with the CBD, Leichhardt is part of the vibrant inner city of Sydney. The municipality has a strong cultural history with connections to the harbour, and is well known for its world famous Norton Street and trendy Balmain shops and restaurants.

Marrickville Council

Located in Sydney's cosmopolitan inner-west, Marrickville offers a diversity of experiences based on a rich heritage, multicultural influences and cutting-edge creative arts. These are reflected in Marrickville's retail/commercial pockets, and its cultural and community events.

Randwick City Council

East of the Sydney CBD, Randwick City borders Botany Bay to the south and the Pacific Ocean to the east. Predominantly residential with retail and commercial pockets, Randwick City is home to the University of New South Wales, one of Sydney's major higher educational institutions.

Rockdale City Council

The City of Rockdale, also part of the St George area, is located on the shores of Botany Bay and approximately 12 kms south of the Sydney CBD. Rockdale City boasts a vibrant mix of peoples and a diverse spectrum of commercial, residential, industrial, and natural landscapes.

Sutherland Shire Council

Sutherland Shire is located on the southern costal edge of metropolitan Sydney and is one of the largest council areas by population in Australia. The geography of the Shire includes beaches, wetlands, bays and rivers, through to tablelands dissected by deep river valleys and gorges.

Waverley Council

Waverley Council, home to Australia's most famous beach, Bondi, is situated about 7 kms from the Sydney CBD. Famous for its surfing and coastal walks, the Waverley Municipality has become a meeting place for tourists and locals alike.

Woollahra Municipal Council

Woollahra Municipality is situated 10 minutes east of the Sydney CBD and offers views of Sydney Harbour, open spaces and parklands, some of Australia's most significant historical buildings, and commercial, residential and retail diversity.
