The Planners' Group meets every second month to discuss
approaches to planning issues affecting local government in the
SSROC Region. Group members are strategic planners, statutory
planners and transport planners from member councils. The group
contends with broad regional issues, such as planning reform and
transport. Projects are undertaken to increase the effectiveness of
the planning system at the local level and to develop model
approaches to the current planning system, to improve results for
the community.
Current Activities
The Planners' Group is currently involved in monitoring the NSW
Department of Planning's proposed planning reform proposals.
