The Sydeny Metropolitan Regional Recreational Trails framework
identified the Botany Bay Trail as a Priority 1 Route. As a result,
SSROC began a two-staged project. The first stage was to undertake
a Feasibility Study for the
development of a multi-use regional recreation trail around the
foreshore of Botany Bay, based on the San Francisco Bay Trail. The
Feasibility Study was enhanced by the inclusion of a Supplementary Report emphasising
the cultural and natural heritage of the area.
The second stage was to prepare a Masterplan and definition
of works, and this was completed early in 2009. You can
