Councils have common needs in training and development,
including risk and compliance training, and are competing for staff
with the private sector and other tiers of government, whose
training budgets often exceed the resources councils have
available. In addition, Councils are operating with changes to
community expectations and new legislative environments, and must
keep skills and knowledge current.
This project will identify key areas for training and
development, determine what can be aggregated, identify the most
appropriate form of procurement and quality assurance and undertake
the procurement process.
